Ophthalmic Scribe
Job Type: Full-time – Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Monday – Thursday 7:30- 5:00 and Friday 7:30- 12:00.
General Summary
We are seeking a full-time scribe to join our team! Eye Care Professionals has become the leader in providing comprehensive eye care in Northern Nevada. We place high value in continuing education and reward our team members for completing education that adds value to their role as a technician. All technicians have the opportunity to obtain their COA (through a fully funded program) after 1 year of employment.
Candidates must be friendly, organized, and have a passion for patient care. Attention to detail and empathy are imperative for success in this role. Ophthalmology, Optometry, or Optical experience is preferred but not required for this position.
This position requires the ability to:
- Recognize and seek advice when needed
- Function as a reliable, punctual, flexible and responsive team member
- Be proactive and competent in problem solving
- Type or write legibly in a dimly lit setting

Ophthalmic Technician

Our technicians act as an extension of the physician. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to: exam pretesting, vision and pressure checks, phone triage, prescription refills and authorizations, scribing for physicians, assisting with refractive surgery, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed by our providers.
We place high value in continuing education and reward our team members for completing education that adds value to their role as a technician. All technicians have the opportunity to obtain their COA (through a fully funded program) after 1 year of employment.
