Not in the way a general family optometry practice does. Eye Care Professionals focuses on medical and surgical eye care rather than routine vision exams — the practice does not prescribe glasses or contact lenses, and patients who need a routine vision/prescription check or a child’s first eye exam are referred to a local optometry practice.

What it does offer: comprehensive MEDICAL eye exams for adults, focused on early detection and treatment of eye disease — glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and cornea conditions — plus dry eye and cataract evaluation. This exam is recommended annually, especially for adults over 40 or anyone with a personal or family history of eye disease, much like an annual physical for the rest of the body.

So while Eye Care Professionals isn’t the right fit for a child’s first exam or a family’s routine glasses-and-contacts visit, it’s a strong option for adult family members who need a medical-level eye exam or have a diagnosed eye condition.
