Valeda PBM uses carefully controlled wavelengths of light to support retinal cell health and energy production. The treatment is completely non-invasive and performed right in our office — with no injections, surgery, anesthesia, or downtime.
What is Valeda PBM?
Valeda PBM is an advanced retinal treatment that uses low-level light therapy, called photobiomodulation, to stimulate cellular activity in the retina. The treatment delivers three specific wavelengths of light — yellow, red, and near-infrared — that are designed to improve retinal cellular function and energy production.
The retina requires a tremendous amount of energy to function properly. In dry AMD, retinal cells can become damaged over time due to oxidative stress, inflammation, and declining mitochondrial function. Valeda PBM works by helping retinal cells produce more energy and function more efficiently.

How Valeda PBM Works

A treatment course typically consists of:
- 9 treatment sessions
- Delivered over approximately 3–5 weeks
- Repeat treatment cycles approximately every 4 months depending on your doctor’s recommendations
