This has truly been a life changing experience for me. When I came in to be evaluated for LASIK I was unable to see 20/20 in my right eye even with contacts. My hope was to at least correct my vision enough that I could wear contacts that did not have to be special ordered. After a very thorough exam, Dr. Mills told me he felt confident he could get 20/15 in my left eye and 20/20 in my right. I hoped that would be true, but I was not getting my heart set on that. I was actually quite nervous about having the procedure, but Dr. Mills and his staff answered every question I had and made me feel at ease. The procedure turned out to be completely painless and not bad at all. I did have a few hours of burning in my eyes after the numbing drops wore off, but ibuprofen took care of it. The moment of truth happened when I woke up the next morning and opened my eyes. For the first time since I was a little girl I was able to see! No glasses, no contacts, but with my own eyes! Not only could I see, but I could see better than I could with my contacts. It truly felt like a miracle. At my follow-up exam, I was told I now have 20/15 vision in my left eye and 20/20 in my right. Dr. Mills did it! He gave me my sight back.

I have been waiting what seems like forever to get LASIK after having glasses since the 4th grade. I was finally able to make it happen this year and chose Eyecare Professionals after a lot of research and based off my mother’s successful cataract and LASIK surgery two years ago with Dr. Mills. I had a consultation with another office prior to my appointment with Eyecare Professionals and the experience was notably different. I met Dr. Mills over 10 years ago and knew then he would be the only one I would trust with Lasik correction surgery if and when I worked up enough courage to get it done.. Years later my wife encouraged me to get the surgery because she wanted it as well so we scheduled together. I’ve had bad vision all my life, glasses since I was 6, I had a pretty bad astigmatism in my left eye so contacts never treated me well. After breaking a few pairs of glasses I was just over the hassle of being beholden to seeing aides so I opted for LASIK with Dr. Mills. Every appointment was clean, thorough and I felt the actually cared about my personal well-being and I can’t say that for every doctor’s office I’ve visited. I’ve been waiting for this for 4 years! Dr. Angelini referred me over to Dr. Mills for an infection and to take a look at my cataracts. I have been able to treated by multiple of the doctors in this office and they have all been wonderful. My left eye was operated on first because the cataracts were worse in that eye. I am now 20/20 distance and 20/30 close up. I didn’t realize I was missing so much of the details in life! The walls have texture again and I can see the colors in tiles and patterns. At the surgery center I had the same people throughout the whole process. They were all so helpful and nice – including having pillows under my legs and head because I am unable to lay flat. The wait was not very long at the surgery center or office. I was scared about the first eye, but after everything went so well and everyone prepared me, I was ok with doing the second eye. I would recommend Dr. Mills if you want LASIK or astigmatism surgery, they can take fix you! I can see so great now, I have been wearing glasses since I was 3! Thank you so much!
